Mold Removal Equipment
Eradicator Mold Remediation Services uses state of the art cutting edge mold removal equipment to remediate your establishment to a normal level of mold activity. Our Mold Testing procedures are completed by competent and experienced mold inspectors that will conduct a visual inspection with the use of current equipment.
Indoor Air Quality Sampling Pumps
IAQ Sampling Pumps are used to determine the type of mold found indoors and the level of such. This device captures a sample of your indoor air quality by using negative airflow which is captured on a cassette. A minimum of two readings are required, one indoor and another outdoor to provide a comparison. These samples are then sent to our mold accredited lab that places the samples under a microscope where they are analyzed anywhere from 100 – 1000 x magnification.
Moisture Meters
Moisture meters are utilized to determine the level of moisture within a particular building material. This determines if the targeted material is susceptible to mold growth and if such the necessary steps needed to be taken to remediate. Once this has occurred it will be concluded if the affected building material should be replaced or can it be salvaged by reducing the level of moisture thus returning such to a normal state. For example, wood is susceptible to mold contamination once the moisture level within it is 16% or above.
Dehumidifiers
Industrial sized commercial dehumidifiers are utilized to reduce the level of humidity in a contaminated environment. It is suggested that once the humidity level increases above 60% the potential for mold growth increases exponentially. It is recommended that to ensure a comfortable living space the humidity level in one’s environment should be within the 30-60% range. Eradicator recommends that each property especially basements should have a dehumidifier to assist with removing excessive humidity.
HEPA Vacuums
Industrial sized commercial HEPA Vacuums are utilized to filter 99.97% of particles at 0.3 microns. This ensures that a contaminated environment is thoroughly cleaned of airborne dust and bio aerosols such as mold spores. This method of using Hepa vacuums ensures that the contaminated area returns to a normal level of fungal ecology.
Blast Media
Examples of Blast media includes Sand blasting, Sponge Blasting, Soda Blasting, and/or Dry Ice blasting. None of these methods are utilized by Eradicator Mold Remediation Services due to the destructive results. Our perspective is that these methods actually do more harm than good as your property becomes more susceptible to damage caused by the forceful nature of these solutions. In addition, one or more combination of these methods increases cross contamination by forcing mold spores from affected areas to non-affected areas (even if thoroughly contained). These methods also tend to extend the clean up process thus becoming a possible inconvenience to all parties involved.
Disinfectants/Sanitizers/Sterilizers
Eradicator utilizes antimicrobial solutions that once applied kills 99.99% of any bacteria found within the contaminated area. Most importantly they are approved by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and are non toxic. This method ensures the safety of pets, children, and adults who share the living and/or working space.
Air Scrubbers
Eradicator Mold Remediation Services’ remediators utilize Industrial sized commercial Air Scrubbers to remove airborne dust, bio aerosols such as mold spores, and other contaminants from the affected area that are disturbed throughout the remediation process. This mold removal equipment prevents spores from contaminating unaffected areas by using filters to trap and remove from environment.
Polyethylene Sheeting
Eradicator Mold Remediation Services utilizes Polyethylene Sheeting to ensure that the affected areas that are contaminated are sealed off from the surrounding areas that may become affected by airborne spores. This is done prior to the start of the remediation process. This method prevents mold spores that are disturbed and become airborne from compromising other unaffected areas within the property. Therefore to ensure that one area is being resolved and that another is not comprised this method is applied.
